Capable of remaining motionless beneath a layer of sand, Razorclaw is one of the best quick attack specialists they've got. When enemies approach his hidden location, his powerful pincer claw shoots up through the surface to capture and impale victims with the claw's protruding cyber-spikes. Radar-defeating shell armor allows him to stay cloaked from Maximal sensors. Blaster rifle in secondary claw fires disrupter particles, temporarily paralyzing his unsuspecting prey.

Robot Mode: Razorclaw's robot is a little plain-looking, but otherwise I have few complaints. Posability is good and the combination of the big pincer claws and wing-like shell parts on his back make him look pretty cool. Opening the bigger claw, you can unfold additional blades to make it more dangerous, while the smaller claw contains a blaster for long-range fighting. All in all a decent robot mode, though not spectacular.

Beast Mode: Razorclaw transforms into a fiddler crab. No big complaints here, either, the beast looks pretty realistic (except for the colour) and the detailing of the outer shell is pretty well done. The only thing that bugs me a little bit is that the feet of the robot mode stick out a bit on the rear, but that's a minor thing. A decent beast mode.

Remarks: Razorclaw is a decent figure, one of the first basic-sized figures of the Beast Wars series foregoing the spring-activated Transformation most of the first wave basic figures like Rattrap had. It makes him a more interesting figure, but only by a notch. There is nothing bad about him, but nothing outstanding, either. So bottom line, a figure on the good side of average.
