Roboto was released in the 4th year of the MotU toyline, the same year the Evil Horde began to appear. He is, unsurprisingly, a robot and his main gimmick was that his upper body is see-through and you can see the gears turning inside when he twists his hip. His knight-like visor also moves up and down. He's got three different attachments for his right arm. A double-barreled blaster, a battle ax, and (sadly missing from mine) a robotic claw.
In most MotU media Roboto was built by Man-at-Arms, but evolved beyond his mechanical origins to become a brave fighter for good. It was only in the Filmation cartoon where he was portrayed as a space explorer from the alien planet Robotica, who crashed and was then merely repaired by Man-at-Arms. Roboto has had minor but steady appearances in most MotU continuities. The figure itself is pretty cool and I like the gears-gimmick, but he will probably never be among my favorite characters, I must say.
