Armada

The war between Autobots and Decepticons has waged on for centuries. Now, though, a new element has entered the equation of battle: The Minicons, small Transformers that can enhance the abilities of their larger counterparts by powerlinking with them. The race is on to capture these Minicons, because the side who has the most of them will likely win the war. That is, if Unicron doesn't destroy everything.

The second anime-influenced Transformers series to hit western viewers (called 'Micron Legends' in Japan), Armada presented a curious mixture of exciting storylines and downright stupid elements. The Minicons also reminded me a bit too much of Pokemon ('gotta catch them all!), but Armada did provide some kick-ass toys.
