Just make sure not to drink the water that's been in there for 40 years.
Series: Masters of the Universe
Year: 1984

Kobra Khan was part of the third wave of Masters of the Universe figures in 1984 and is a figure very much built around a gimmick. The entire torso is hollow, so you can fill him up with water by removing the head. Put the head back on and by pressing down on it, you can make Kobra Khan squirt "poison mist" (meaning: water). It was a pretty cool gimmick for the time, but like most water-squirting gimmick figures, you probably should be careful not to actually ingest any of the water that's squirting out of them. Public service announcement.

I had Kobra Khan as a kid, too, and the thing I remember most about him is a brief mention in one of the German MotU audio adventures from Europa. Skeletor basically berated someone (I think it was Beast-Man?) because he wanted to call up Kobra Khan for a mission to the arctic. Skeletor then patiently explained that snakes cannot abide freezing temperatures due to being cold-blooded. See, kids? Back in the day our toys were educational, too!

So bottom line: a nice figure from the heyday of Masters of the Universe. It originally came with a red pistol for Kobra Khan to hold, but that got lost somewhere along the way.
