WARPATH

Allegiance: Autobots
Toyline: Generation 1
Subline: Minibot
Year: 1985

A good shot is worth more than a good intention.
Thinks he is more impressive than his comrades do...likes to show off his sharpshooting. Boisterous, loud-mouthed...raucious sense of humor makes him welcome company. Vain----upset by even the smallest scratch in his gun barrel. Can go 30 mph over roughest terrain, hit a hex nut 1.5 miles away. Shoots explosives, thermal, cryogenic, acid, and sonic shells. Great strength but helpless if upended.

Robot Mode: One of the smallest Transformers ever (apart from the Micromasters and Minicons) Warpath barely reaches up to the waist of normal-sized Transformers. His robot mode looks a bit forced, at no time leaving doubt into what he transforms. He can move his arms at the shoulders and swivel his head (along with the gun turret) and that's it. He has no real legs or feet, just the forward part of the tank threads. So while he's a fun little guy, he doesn't offer much in the way of play value.

Alternate Mode: In vehicle mode Warpath is a tank and looks like what he's supposed to. He can roll across the floor thanks to small wheels and can swivel his gun turret. As tanks go he looks decent. A good vehicle mode.

Remarks: I certainly didn't buy this toy for the play value, for it has little. Warpath was one of the funnier cartoon characters, though. Not only was he one of the few Autobots who transformed into a non-civilian vehicle, he was also quite funny as a character, always providing vocal soundeffects to his own cannonshots and even during his everyday speech. A funny guy through and through, so I had to have him (and he came quite cheap).
