SKYWARP

Series: G1 Reissues Commemorative Series
Allegiance: Decepticon
Categories: Decepticon Jet
Year: 2003

Strike when the enemy isn't looking.
Skywarp is the sneakiest of all Decepticons. Enjoys playing cruel pranks on fellow Decepticons and appearing out of nowhere to attack Autobots. Not too smart. Would be useless without Megatron's supervision. Top speed of 1500 mph. Can instantly teleport up to 2.5 miles. Carries heat-seeking missiles and variable-calibre machine guns.

Remarks: Skywarp is a repaint of Starscream, so you can read the full review of the figure there. Just some general remarks here. This Skywarp is a re-issue from 2003, not the original, but the only differences are the packaging and the fact that Skywarp's laser guns are a bit larger here to conform to present-day toy safety laws.

Skywarp's colour scheme is a perfect match for the way he appeared in the cartoon. Unlike his brothers Thundercracker and Starscream, Skywarp never got much in the way of a personality in the cartoon, except for the slight sibling rivalry all three Seekers seemed to share. Still, as one of the aformentioned original three Seekers he is definitely a must-have for any collector. And he comes with a kick-ass box with Dreamwave art in front. What more do you want?
